SanityCheck

SanityCheck is an advanced malware and rootkit detection software, which scans your system in depth, looking for all kinds of threats and irregularities that might indicate the presence of malicious agents on your computer. The program specializes in finding threats hidden in fake processes and hidden parts of your system.

Although SanityCheck isn't specifically recommended for inexperienced users, it is very easy to use. The only thing you have to do once you install it is to click the Scan button. This process can take anywhere from a few seconds to a little over a minute, depending on your computer. The program may appear to be unresponsive during the process, but it is simply working, so you should let it continue until it has finished.

Once the analysis has finished, you can take a look at the result. All the data collected by SanityCheck is divided into several tabs: processes, threads, devices, files and routines. You can quickly identify suspicious items within these lists because they will be highlighted in red. But keep in mind that this does not mean that they are dangerous. Items in red simply indicate that they are suspicious and that you should keep an eye on them, nothing more.

SanityCheck is a light and easy-to-use program that lets you scan your computer in depth in search of any potential threats. The program will also offer different suggestions on what to do with the threats it finds since trying to eliminate everything immediately isn't always the best thing to do.
